July Fourth Fireworks Show — Back on the East River Monday Night

Are you ready for an East River light show? Macy’s 40th annual Fourth of July fireworks show is, of course, coming up on Monday night. With over 52,000 individual fireworks, more than 50 pyrotechnicians and a crowd of 3 million plus viewers lined up along the waterfront, it’s the biggest fireworks display in the country.

The fireworks will be launched from five barges on the East River – some up near 23rd Street and some just south of the Brooklyn Bridge – so pretty much anywhere along the East River Park and promenade should be a good vantage point. Crowds start arriving hours before the fireworks, so make sure to get there early if you want a good spot along the waterfront.

The show starts at 9:25 p.m. and lasts about 30 minutes.
