Here are some upcoming local events that are on our radar:

  • Take a free lesson from Artist & Tai Chi Master, Daniel Rosenbaum in front of his current solo exhibition, Inner Guardians, Outer Explorers at the Woodward Gallery. The artist will be guiding the Wu Style (1834-1994) short form, beginning with proper standing and then introducing the core movements on Tuesday, April 2nd at 5:30pm. 
  • Listen in on a conversation at ICP, on Wednesday, Arpil 3rd at 7:00pm, with Los Angeles based photographer Christina Fernandez and Katherine Bussard, the Curator of Photography at the Princeton University Art Museum, to discuss Fernandez’s extensive body of work exploring migration, labor, gender, and her Mexican American identity through photography as well as her recent traveling retrospective, Multiple Exposures.
  • Catch a concert to benefit the UNTITLED Musical Project, featuring original music from new musicals, at Parkside Lounge on Friday, April 5th at 7:00pm. All profits support the UNTITLED Musical Project — a not-for-profit dedicated to supporting musical theatre writers of BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and their intersecting identities by fostering their work from inception.
  • Cheer on this year’s recipients of the 9th Annual Acker Awards, honoring Adela of Casa Adela and hosted by Clayton Patterson, at Theatre For The New City on Monday, April 8 at 6:00pm.
  • Save the date for an online discussion on Climate & Sustainability, on Wednesday, April 17 at 4:00pm, hosted Hasan (“Harry”) Doza, a Research Analyst w/over 17 years of experience analyzing Utilities, Renewables & the Water industry, including the impact of Climate change to these industries. He is “a lifelong New Yorker and passionate about teaching how climate change impacts our
    day-to-day lives.”
