Eva’s Kitchen is now open for business in the commercial strip on the south side of Grand Street, just to the east of Essex Street.
The space next to the “Pickle Guys” was most recently occupied by “Best Chicken” and once upon a time, it was home to “Shalom Chai Pizza.”
Eva’s Kitchen is an outgrowth of Wishbone Farms, a takeout concept by siblings Eva Pesantez and Josh Lebowitz, who launched the business in Southhampton in 2021.
Eva’s Kitchen offers indoor and outdoor seating but it’s the type of place you could likely stop by on the way home from work to pick up dinner to take home. The menu is posted on the restaurant’ website. They offer everything from egg sandwiches and oatmeal for breakfast to lunch and dinner entrees, such as a hot honey fried chicken sandwich, miso salmon, a falafel platter and, yes, a rotisserie chicken.
Pesantez has previously worked at Dig Inn and Brother Jimmy’s BBQ. Lebowitz has a background as a restaurant consultant.
