Earlier this week, the LES Business Improvement District held its annual meeting at Mason Dixon on Essex Street. The organization’s leaders looked back on what was really a transitional year — and looked forward to a busy 2011. They honored former executive director Roberto Ragone, who has gone on to run a BID in the Bronx.

His successor, Bob Zuckerman went over plans to expand the district’s boundaries and step up marketing efforts. There was also a special presentation from the Tenement Museum, a key BID partner, previewing their new exhibit, “Minding the Store.”  And the BID honored Huy and Tuan Bui, owners of the restaurant An Choi, as well as Arlene Miller of Ja-Mil Uniforms for their contributions to the community.
