Must Read

The W.O.W. Project is continuing its partnership with Abrons Arts Center with their annual Lunar New Year celebration supporting local businesses in Chinatown. Beginning on January 11 and while supplies last, patrons who spend $35 or more at participating businesses will receive a pack of 5 red envelopes with accompanying stickers.

An exhibition at Abrons Arts Center opens January 16 featuring installations by The Midnight Project at 6 pm and includes karaoke and a traditional Lion dance by Wing on Wo’s all-women and queer lion dance team.

Events run through January to celebrate and support businesses, artists, and activists who have been integral to the community, including the oldest store in Chinatown, Wing on Wo & Co, owned by Mei Lum, who helped inaugurate the program.
