In the news this past week:

–Cops pursued two suspects reportedly wanted in an illegal gun investigation, chasing them from Avenue D to the West Village. During the pursuit, one of the suspects struck a woman riding a bike at Sullivan and East Houston streets. She was transported to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition but is expected to recover. –The mayor was apparently on the verge of reopening Park Row for automobile traffic, after years of advocacy from Chinatown community groups. –The popular Chinatown bakery, Golden Steamer, has opened a second spot on Grand Street. [Eater]

–The Lower East Side’s Scarr’s Pizza is opening a location in Los Angeles. [Eater]
