There’s a huge response from the New York City Fire Department tonight for a blaze that apparently started in a ground floor grocery, or in the basement, at 333 Grand St., just off Ludlow Street.
A large crowd has assembled in the immediate area. Grand west of Essex Street is closed to automobile traffic.
More details as they become available.
UPDATED: No one was injured in the fire. The ground floor business, Eastern Supermarket, has been closed since the blaze broke out.
