There will be two workshops next week sponsored by Rebuild by Design, a federal competition aimed at protecting hurricane-prone areas. One of ten teams working under the auspices of the Department of Housing and Urban development is focused on the East River area. The first session will be held Monday at the Rutgers Houses. The second meeting is Tuesday at the LES Girls Club. You can read more about the initiative here.
