There are a few noteworthy topics on the agenda of Community Board 3’s transportation committee tonight. The panel will take up a proposal to co-name the southeast corner of Orchard and Delancey streets “Sol Moscot Way,” in honor of the iconic LES eyewear company. Given the controversy surrounding the proposed Beastie Boys street co-naming campaign, it could be a tough sell. Also, there will be a presentation from the Department of Transportation on changes meant to improve pedestrian safety and traffic flow at Bowery and Delancey.
