A 52-year old woman was killed in an accident at the Delancey Street train station last night.  It happened at about 5:45 p.m. Witnesses said she fell onto the southbound tracks as a J train was approaching. According to the Daily News, police do not believe she was trying to take her own life but she might have been intoxicated, they said.
Immediately after the accident, emergency workers cut the power on the tracks, but it was too late.
The accident disrupted train service into the evening.
