Tomorrow is a big day for opponents of the New York City Housing Authority’s market rate development plan. As you probably know, the revenue-generating proposal would create thousands of new apartments at five public housing developments on the Lower East Side. NYCHA will hold a public hearing tomorrow evening on its draft annual plan, which includes the development scheme. Tenants and advocacy organizations will be at the meeting in force to voice their opposition. The hearing takes place at 5:30 p.m. at Pace University at 3 Spruce Street.
Makes no difference who speaks and how many voices are heard the city is going to do whatever they want anyway, it will be a waste of my time to attend nothing positive is going to come out of that meeting but frustration and BS from the city…
