Four more bus permits will be considered by Community Board 3 in the coming month.
According to the October agenda, these are the applications CB3’s transportation committee will evaluate during its October 8th meeting:
- Z & D Tours, 59 Canal St
- Hong Yun Inc, opposite of 132 Madison St, east of Mechanic Alley, under the Manhattan Bridge
- Pandora Travel Inc, 30 Pike St
- AA Bus Inc, 160 E Broadway
The 160 East Broadway location is just a stone’s throw from a proposed bus stop in front of Seward Park that got neighbors quite riled up last year. The Department of Transportation eventually agreed to move the stop to Pike Street. Another location being floated now is a stretch of Canal Street right in front of the future Jarmulowsky hotel. This month, CB3 rejected three bus stop proposals. The community board has no authority to approve or deny applications, but it forwards advisory opinions to the DOT.
The meeting takes place at 6:30 p.m. at University Settlement, 184 Eldridge.
