An interesting photo and video show — inspired by The Artist’s Way — is currently running at Filmshop House 2025, which is one of the organizations in residence in the houses on Governors Island this summer. The show, titled “Artists’ Ways,” curated by filmmaker and photographer Patrice D. Bowman, captures the creative rituals of various New York-based artists. The exhibit also includes works by the featured artists. Bowman writes, “it’s a layered exploration of identity, collaboration, and the personal process of making art.”
The “Artists’ Ways” exhibit is on view at the Filmshop House (4B) until August 31; Saturdays and Sunday only, 11am – 5pm.
During the run of the exhibition, the team is hosting several free workshops on collage, cyanotype, and photography:

Join artists Patrice D. Bowman and Dylan Castagnette, whose work is featured in the “Artists’ Ways” exhibit, for a fun cyanotype workshop.
Sunday, August 17 from 2p-4p – Character Studies: A Photography Workshop
