Coming up Thursday evening (2/27/25), community members will have a chance to tell city officials what they’d like to see happen with a development site at 324 East 5th St., currently used as a parking lot for the 9th Precinct. The city-owned site is destined to be utilized for affordable housing. The Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) will issue a Request for Proposals for the 11,540 square foot site later this year.
As part of the outreach process, the city will be hosting a public workshop on Thursday from 6-8 PM at University Settlement’s Speyer Hall, 184 Eldridge St.
