Today (Sunday) is the last day of early voting in new York City’s primary election. Election Day is Tuesday, so you still have a chance to make sure your voice is heard.
New Yorkers are obviously picking a new mayor, as well as other citywide offices (comptroller, borough presidents, district attorney, etc.) and an almost entirely new City Council.
We’e watching the hotly contested District 1 City Council race to decide who succeeds Margaret Chin at City Hall. The contenders, in the order that they appear on your ballot, are: Christopher Marte, Gigi Li, Sean Hayes, Maud Maron, Tiffany Johnson-Winbush, Susan Lee, Denny Salas, Susan Damplo and Jenny Low.
If you need to know where to vote, look up your polling site and a sample ballot here.
And if you still need a primer on ranked choice voting, here’s a guide.
