Tomorrow is the third and final opportunity (at least for now) to weigh in about plans for building a flood barrier along the East River. City agencies – with assistance from local community groups – are holding a workshop at the Church of St. Brigid, 119 Avenue B, 6:30-8:30 p.m. As you may know, the Lower East Side was awarded $335 million from the federal government for flood protection. A process is ongoing to decide exactly how the first phase of the design concept known as the “Big U” will be implemented.  Spanish and Chinese interpretation will be provided.
