Police are asking for help in finding a man who slashed a woman on the face in an incident a few weeks ago on the Lower East Side. It happened at around 1 in the afternoon on Jan. 31 in an apartment building near the intersection of Jefferson and Madison streets. A masked suspect came up to the 30-year-old victim and – unprovoked – sliced her on the right side of the face with an unknown object. When she screamed, he took off and has not been located.
