Coming up on Friday at the BRC Senior Center at 30 Delancey St., the NYC Health Department and Parks Department are holding a free rat prevention workshop. It’s sponsored by City Council member Margaret Chin and Community Board 3.
There will be rat prevention tips to local residents and community gardeners. Anyone who participates will be eligible to receive one free rodent-resistant garbage can. (Vouchers will be given, which can be redeemed for the free garbage can at a future event within the community.)
Even though the flyer says you were supposed to RSVP by yesterday, it’s still possible to get in on the fun. The event takes place between 2:30-4:30 p.m.
