Blizzard Conditions Predicted in New York

Are you ready for the big storm? The National Weather Service has issued a Blizzard Warning from 1 p.m. today through Tuesday midnight. They’re calling it a “crippling and potentially historic blizzard,” with 18-24 inches expected in the city. Along with the heavy snow, expect high winds, gusting to 55 mph. Forecasters say we’ll see light snow during the day today, intensifying after midnight.

The mayor says schools are probably going to be closed tomorrow. After school programs have been canceled today. Mass transit could be shut down before today’s afternoon rush hour as a precaution, so get home early!
