If you’ve walked past 250 East Houston St. recently, you may have noticed that the former Blockbuster Video space is getting a new tenant. “Coming soon” signs are emblazoned on the windows and doors, announcing the arrival of Ricky’s, the cosmetics, hair and bath products store. There are already about 20 Ricky’s locations throughout Manhattan.
Blockbuster closed in 2012, as EV Grieve reported.
UPDATED 8/20/2014: A spokesperson for Ricky’s, Ereka Dunn, tells us the location is a “test pop up,” meaning it will open as a Halloween supplies store and could morph into a permanent Ricky’s outpost if the response is positive.
