A Department of Corrections bus from Rikers Island crashed on the Manhattan Bridge this morning. Police said 14 people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The bus was heading for Lower Manhattan’s court buildings when it hit a median and took out a few pillars near Bowery and Canal at around 8:15 a.m.
Among those hospitalized, 12 were inmates and the other two were corrections officers.
