Man Arrested Following Attempted Rape in Henry Street Building

Police have arrested a suspect in the attempted rape of a woman inside her apartment last night. According to the Post, the alleged attacker, 28-year old Hua Qin Y,e rang the doorbell of a building on Henry street near East Broadway at around 10:30 p.m. More from the story:

When she answered the door, he pushed his way inside and forced the woman into a bedroom where he tried to take off her clothes, the sources said. She screamed “No!” as she fought off her attacker. She yelled for help and one of her three roommates quickly dialed 911, cops said. Police responded and arrested the man inside the apartment.  Ye was taken to Bellevue Hospital where he was evaluated in the psych ward. He was arrested and charged with attempted rape, burglary and resisting arrest, cops said.

Police say the victim did not know her attacker.
