In October, New York City will mark the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Sandy, the second costliest hurricane in U.S. history. The storm, of course, hit the Lower East Side hard and served as a wake-up call for many large residential complexes that realized they were ill-prepared. We want to hear from you for a story we’re preparing on what LES building owners have been doing in the past year to get ready for the next big storm. If you have information and/or opinions about how your building is planning for future natural disasters, please send us an email at tips@thelodownny.com. Thank you!
The only thing we have heard is generators for pumping water in the Coop.
