My boyfriend and I just took a walk to the East River to watch the water levels rise and noticed a turtle out of place and desperately trying to get out of the water. Unfortunately the water levels are not high enough yet for him to escape the wake of the waves. We didn’t have anything on hand or a net at home to bring him to safety. We’re calling out for help to see if any local readers have a net or the means to save the turtle. Last seen he was just below the PathMark – almost under the Manhattan Bridge.
poor little guy. prolly escaped a chinatown market, so he still has a better chance of survival.
