The Lower East Side BID attracted a whole lot of people to Orchard Street in June for DayLife, a Sunday street festival meant to reinvigorate the legendary retail corridor.  Now two more events are planned for the fall — on September 30th and October 28th. Once again, the food, entertainment and shopping extravaganza will take place on Orchard, between East Houston and Delancey streets.

In conjunction with DayLife, the BID is also partnering with the “Delancey Underground,” which will be holding an exhibition in the abandoned Essex Street Market building south of Delancey Street next month.  The idea is to showcase local businesses (both old and new), while generating excitement for the proposed subterranean park. We’ll have more details on both DayLife and the Delancey Underground’s exhibit, “Imagine the LowLine” in the next couple of weeks.
