Must Read

Over the weekend, Joel Raskin (whose photos are frequently featured on The Lo-Down) captured some great images of the big boiler installation at the East River Cooperative on Grand Street. East River, along with the Hillman and Amalgamated Co-ops, is in the midst of a major conversion to cleaner burning fuels. The boiler will provide both heat and hot water to about 2700 apartments of the three housing developments. Click through to see the installation in progress yesterday.
