Squadron, Kavanagh, CB3 Talk Up New Bus Lane Rules

This morning, State Senator Daniel Squadron, Assemblyman Brian Kavanagh and Community Board 3 have scheduled a news conference to go over new standards for cars and bikes in the 1st & 2nd Avenue bus lanes.  Today is the first day surveillance cameras are being used to enforce bus lane rules. According to a news advisory, new guidelines will “help taxi drivers and other motorists follow the City’s bus lane rules.  The NYC Department of Transportation and the NYC Taxi and Limousine Commission developed these standards with the elected officials’ input.” The news conference is at 10:30am, on the southeast corner of 14th Street and 1st Avenue.
