DJ Krush Spins Bowery Ballroom Tonight

Must Read

Japanese mixmaster DJ Krush returns to Bowery Ballroom tonight as he continues to bring his unique hip-hop sound-scapes fused with jazz, electronica, live instrumentation and a hefty dose of Japanese culture to the world stage. On the international frontier of underground electronica since the ’80’s, DJ Krush is recognized as one of the first DJs to use turntables as live instruments, doing free sessions with live musicians on stage.  As lifelounge magazine puts it, “His live shows have become renown for their ability to captivate and enthral and he has a list of collaborators that includes the likes of DJ Shadow, Mos Def and The Roots, not to mention a reputation as being one of the most prolific hip-hop artists in the world.”  Doors at 8pm.  Tickets $17. (Listen: Krush_Edge of Blue)
