The New Museum is offering free admission to residents in zip codes 10002, 10003, 10009, 10012, 10013 on Saturday, May 6th, from 12pm – 5pm, for “Community Day.” It’s an opportunity to see the current exhibit, “Wangechi Mutu: Intertwined.” Visitors are invited to participate in artmaking activities led by NEW INC member Smita Sen, Lower Eastside Girls Club Senior Arts Manager Sienna Fekete, and their artist-in-residence Neta Bomani.
Special activities include:
• 12 and 2 PM: Gallery Tours, meet in the Lobby
• 12:30–2 PM: Divine Bodies & Unruly Mythologies with Smita Sen, Sky Room
• 3–5 PM: Zine Making with Lower Eastside Girls Club, Sky Room
