Here was the scene at Essex and Grand streets a short time ago. This photo was snapped by local resident Ranjan Roy, who says it didn’t appear anyone was seriously injured. A kid on the sidewalk and the driver were shaken up, though. We’ll check with the 7th Precinct for more details.
UPDATED 1:59 p.m. Some of our own photos. As you can see the accident happened on Grand Street west of Essex Street, right across from the Seward Park High School campus.
cars drive WAY too fast on both of those streets. that intersection has become a death-trap.
“Car jumps curb”? Was anyone driving? This is like saying “bullet attacks man.” A driver–likely driving in a reckless way–drove his/her car onto the curb. Thank goodness no one was hurt.
Oh but the driver was “shaken up”. We’re supposed to feel sorry for him.
