Manhattan Charter School to Host Benefit for Urban Gardening Program

The students at Manhattan Charter School will be hosting a special benefit celebration tomorrow night for their urban gardening program, “The Curious Garden,” in collaboration with P.S. 142 and through a partnership with the Horticultural Society of New York. There will be live music and spoken word performances by the students plus a showing and sale of student art work – not to mention some “Lower East Side delicacies and drinks!”

The school is celebrating “5 years of cultivating minds,” and hopes to raise money for the next five years of the program. The event will be held in the Flamboyan Theater at the Clemente Soto Velez Cultural Center. Tickets are considered a 100% tax deductible donation. $25 per MCS Family, $50 Friends of MCS and $100 Good Friends of MCS (includes one student work of art) // Go here for tickets // Wednesday, April 13 // 6:30pm // 107 Suffolk Street.
