–A “mysterious” LLC has acquired the $44 loan on the former P.S. 64 building on East 9th Street, which has been the subject of a lengthy feud between community activists and developer Gregg Singer. [The Real Deal]
–The body of a 13-year-old boy was pulled from the East River. His parents thought he was attending a LES Prep soccer game but apparently made an unsupervised detour with other teens. Witnesses said they saw him go into the water. [CBS New York]
–New foot traffic data shows that while the city in general continues to bounce back from the pandemic, “neighborhoods with stronger recreational appeal,” such as the Lower East Side, are actually seeing more activity than in 2019, before Covid decimated New York’s economy. [Crain’s]
