Comedytown comes to Caveat on March 25th.

Some events that caught our attention this week:

  • Teatro Sea premieres The Crazy Adventures of Don Quixote, a new bilingual musical for all ages, based on Miguel de Cervantes’ classic novel and featuring puppets crafted by Master Puppeteer Álvaro Ortega Beltrán (Títeres Etcétera) from Spain. Book, Music and Lyrics by Radamés Gavé and Manuel Antonio Morán, with Morán also serving as the director. The show premieres with a gala on March 21st, World Puppetry Day and runs through May 13th.
  • To celebrate the publication of the Chinatown Commercial District Needs Assessment (CDNA) report, Think!Chinatown presents “A Place for Us: Reflections from Chinatown / 我們的歸宿”, opening on Friday, March 24th at 6pm. The photography exhibition features photos of the neighborhood by their community of photographers.
  • Comedytown,” a traveling variety show hosted by improv duo, John Randall & Trent Dozier (iO Chicago) comes to Caveat on Saturday, March 25th at 930pm. This month’s show features Molly Kearney (SNL), Holmes (Welcome to Flatch), Sabrina Wu (JFL), Hoodo Hersi (Late Night), & Richard Perez (Union Hall).
  • Artists can now submit work to The Clemente’s Public Spaces Open Studios Open Call. As part of the Annual Open Studios two-day weekend, the open studios will feature site-specific installations in public spaces throughout the building. The deadline to submit is March 28.
