21st Annual Egg Rolls, Egg Creams, & Empanadas Street Festival Returns This Sunday

The Museum at Eldridge has announced the return of their beloved block party, “Egg Rolls, Egg Creams and Empanadas” next Sunday, June 26, from 12p – 4p, on Eldridge Street between Division and Canal Streets. The free street festival celebrates the diverse cultures that make up the Lower East Side and Chinatown communities with music, dance, food and arts and crafts for the whole family.

This year’s festivities will include:

  • La Manga
  • Lion, Fan, and Ribbon Dancers from New York Chinese Cultural Center
  • Frank London and his Klezmer band
  • Yiddish singing from The Mamales
  • Vejigantes masks with Felipe Rangel
  • Paper cutting and folding with Ling Tang
  • Food demonstrations from Alina Shteynberg and Maria Bido
  • Legacy Women
  • Yiddish instrumental duo, Eléonore Biezunski and Pete Rushefsky
  • Chinese music and opera from: Melody of Dragon and Oriental Operatic Artists Association
