The Tenement Museum is partnering with local organizations to celebrate its reopening with an action-packed Orchard Street block party on Saturday, June 12 from 12p – 4p. Live music, art, activities, tours and giveaways are on the agenda. Nuyorican Poets Cafe is presenting multiple live performances. Jazz musician Juma Sultan will perform and artist Jia Sung with Assembly for Chinatown will be doing a live mural painting.
