Tenement Museum to Host Grand Reopening Block Party

The Tenement Museum is partnering with local organizations to celebrate its reopening with an action-packed Orchard Street block party on Saturday, June 12 from 12p – 4p. Live music, art, activities, tours and giveaways are on the agenda. Nuyorican Poets Cafe is presenting multiple live performances. Jazz musician Juma Sultan will perform and artist Jia Sung with Assembly for Chinatown will be doing a live mural painting.

    Hands-on imagemaking activity exploring the block using basic photographic techniques

    Get Out the Vote table, with information and an activity to help New Yorkers understand Ranked Choice Voting – scan & vote for your favorite Asian noodle dish!

    Stop, write, decorate, and send Postcards from the Lower East Side

    Learn about public gardens, find out how to volunteer, and pick up seeds to start your own blooms
