Today your long wait is over! Following a couple of years of construction delays, the Pickle Guys open their new restaurant, Diller, at 357 Grand St. The grand opening celebration. kicks off at 12:30 p.m.
Diller is located right next door to the pickle store, and features all sorts of fried pickle creations. You can take a look at the menu posted below. There are fried kosher dill pickle chips, as well as other fried items like okra, baby corn, mushrooms and string beans. You will also find vinegar-brined finch fries, a rueben egg roll, a “Beyond Burger” and jalapeño poppers.
A press release notes that the menu celebrates both the Lower East Side’s Jewish and Asian communities. The Pickle Guys is owned by Alan Kaufman, William Soo and Michael Chu.
In 2017, the Pickle Guys was forced from its Essex Street store after 15 years, and made the move across the street to a new, more conspicuous space. Next up for the team: opening an outpost in the Market Line at Essex Crossing.
Regular hours at Diller will be 10 a.m.-midnight.
