Chinatown Soup Keeps its Focus on Creative Community

Madeleine Crenshaw visited with members of Chinatown Soup, the cooperative art space on lower Orchard Street. She writes:

Although Chinatown Soup is one of the newer art spaces in the neighborhood, it serves as a quintessential hub for emerging New York artists. Founded in 2014 by Michelle Marie Esteva,  Chinatown Soup is a gallery, cafe, and studio space run by an all-volunteer team. Members work together to keep the space open as a series of massive developments enter the neighborhood.
