Make Your Voice Heard: There’s a State Primary Election Thursday

To borrow a phrase from Barack Obama, “Don’t put your head in the sand. Don’t boo — vote!”

There’s a Primary Election coming up in New York this coming Thursday, Sept. 13. Democrats will be choosing their candidate for governor. Will you give a vote of confidence to Gov. Andrew Cuomo, or side with challenger Cynthia Nixon? Other races on the ballot: incumbent Kathy Hochul vs. challenger Jumaane Williams for lieutenant governor; and Zepher Teachout, Letitia James, Sean Patrick Maloney and Leecia Eve for state attorney general.

There are two local races of note. Robert Rosenthal and Wendy Li are waging a fierce battle for the Second District Civil Court seat. Also, Christopher Marte and Joseph Garba are competing for a state committee seat in the 65th Assembly District.

You can vote on Thursday any time between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. Here’s how to find you poll site.
