Cops Search For Suspect in Ludlow Street Attempted Rape

Police have released surveillance video showing a suspect wanted in an attempted rape on the Lower East Side last month.

The incident happened at about 5:30 a.m.Tuesday, Feb. 27 in the vestibule of 127 Ludlow St. That’s a building near Rivington Street. Cops say he pushed a woman against a wall and began attacking her. Someone heard the woman screaming and intervened, forcing the suspect to flee.
