Koneko Cat Cafe Was Targeted By Robbers This Week

Must Read

Koneko, the cat cafe at 26 Clinton St., was robbed earlier this week by two men who made off with $850. It happened Monday evening at about 9:30, just before closing time.

According to the Daily News, one of the men stuck his hand in a black plastic bag, suggesting that he was carrying a gun. He reportedly said: “You know what this is, give me the money… Don’t look at me, put the money in the bag.” The second man was acting as a lookout. The New York Post reported that the Koneko employee, a 35-year-old woman, was made to lie on the floor as the men fled.

Police are looking at surveillance video in an effort to identify the suspects
