This past weekend’s warm weather helped drive good attendance for opening weekend at the Hester Street Fair. Looking ahead to Saturday, the HSF crew is planning a big Earth Day celebration.
They’re partnering up with the advocacy organization, 596 Acres, and the Sixth Street Community Center to focus on community gardens, CSAs (Community Supported Agriculture) and sustainability. Tula Plants & Design will host a Plant Revival and Care Workshop. Plus Leave No Footprint will be accepting clothing, electronics, books and housewares for donation/recycling.  Here’s the Facebook invite if you’d like to know more.
If you can’t get enough of the outdoors (rain please stay away), the Seward Park Conservancy is hosting a spring cleanup day on Sunday. See the flyer for details.
