
Police have arrested one of two suspects wanted in the brutal beating of a 24-year-old Lower East Side resident Friday morning. The incident was caught on videotape. Cops took 23-year-old Nawang Choying of Queens into custody today. He faces a charge of gang assault. Investigators are still looking for a second man and a woman who was either with the suspects, or possibly just witnessed what happened. According to reports, William Franco was feuding with his attackers inside Pianos, the Ludlow Street music club. The argument continued later in the evening when they chased Franco up Orchard Street, attacking him in front of 156 Orchard St. They escaped in a black car. Franco was treated for injuries at Bellevue Hospital and later released.
