Early Morning Shooting on Ridge Street Sends 3 Men to Hospital

Three men were wounded in a shooting earlier this morning on Ridge Street, near Stanton Street. According to Channel 2, it happened at around 6 a.m. outside the bodega at 135 Ridge St.

The victims were shot following some sort of argument with the shooter. There is no description as of yet for the suspect, but police are checking several surveillance cameras in the area.

The Daily News reported  that a 25 year-old and a 35-year-old were shot in the leg, while another man, 23, was wounded in the leg and stomach. The victims were taken to Bellevue Hospital.

A witness, identified only as Johnny, said, “I heard five shots, really loud… It looked like three guys got hit, and taken away in an ambulance.” He added, “I was out here about five hours ago, and the same guys were fighting down the street… One guy got punched in the face pretty hard… I see them around all the time. They’re all kids from the neighborhood.”
