Starting next week, Gouverneur Health’s Youthmarket is back for the summer season. The initiative is a part of Grow NYC’s greenmarket program. Local youths work at the market, providing the Lower East Side community with fresh produce from regional farms. The Gouverneur Youthmarket will be open on Thursdays from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. from July 7-Nov. 17. EBT/food stamps accepted.
There’s also a Youthmarket hosted by Henry Street Settlement. It’s located on Grand Street, just to the east of Pitt Street in front of Abrons Arts Center. The market also opens July 7. It will run Thursdays from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
