
Police are looking for four armed robbery suspects involved in a May 5 incident at the Alfred E. Smith Houses.
According to the New York Post, the suspects “barged into a Lower East Side apartment and tied up five occupants.” It happened at about 11:45 p.m. in a building on Madison Street.
The victims were forced to the floor and their hands were tied. One occupant of the apartment was assaulted and suffered a fractured finger, cuts and bruises. Various items were stolen, including a pair of Nike Air Jordan sneakers.
In another incident, DNA Info reports that four suspects were arrested May 14 near Madison and Rutgers streets. Police spotted them inside a GMC Yukon with a broken taillight. It turned out they were carrying a number of guns, including an AP-9 pistol and a 9-millimeter Luger pistol. Cops filed weapons possession charges against 19-year-old Joshua Rivers, 21-year-old Lalique Mazyck, 26-year-old Christopher Walker and 27-year-old Clayton Givens. Cops believe they are affiliated with the Bloods gang.
