Police are looking for a suspect who tried to sexually assault a woman Saturday afternoon near Pitt and Stanton streets.
The victim, 24, said the man followed her into the elevator of a residential building at around 3:30 p.m. The suspect began groping the woman as the elevator opened on her floor. She said he slammed her against the wall, fondled her and then tried to get inside the victim’s apartment. He fled when a man answered the door.
The suspect is described as light-skinned Hispanic between 16-20 years old, 5-foot-2 to 5-foot-4, and 130 pounds. If you can help find this man, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
