Police have arrested a Lower East Side street vendor, charging him in connection with the beating death of a man on the Delancey Street subway platform a week ago.

The crime happened August 28, shortly before 10 p.m. When cops arrived at the station, they discovered 51-year-old Alfredo Ramos badly beaten with severe head injuries. The victim, a New Jersey resident, died on Thursday at Bellevue Hospital.

According to the Daily News, 57-year-old David Green was later taken into custody and charged with manslaughter. He was awaiting arraignment this morning.
