Curbed spotted this fun summer rental. For $4,250 per month (July and August availability), you could live in this 1829 townhouse at 511 Grand St. it’s the home of well-known artists Inka Essenhigh and Stephen Mumford. They purchased the historic row house for $1.36 million in 2011. There are two beds and two baths with an outdoor space. The listing notes, “This home features a massive open living room filled with cultural artifacts. This home has the bohemian charm of ‘la bonne vie’ and culture, as it is the home of two prominent American artists.” The building isa rare surviving example of a Federal-style house in New York.

  2. I walked past this before and after sale and loved the glimpses of warm light and bookcases if you looked up I felt like such a peeper lol But its a great bldg and its not peeping when its here in pix.. right? ;)
