Three Teens Arrested After Rape of Woman in 5th Precinct

Three teenagers have been arrested following the sexual assault and robbery of a woman in a Chinatown apartment building. Cops released surveillance video of the suspects, but did not disclose the exact location other than to say the apartment is located in the 5th Precinct.

Eric Pek, Emanuel Burrows and Sanat Asliev of Brooklyn — all 16 years old — were taken into custody. More from Channel 2:

They allegedly attacked the victim after meeting her at a nearby high-speed Internet cafe on Eldridge Street, stealing her keys and personal belongings which showed her address and led them to the building… In the video, you can see the suspects heading up the stairs to the victim’s apartment. Investigators said they got into her unit and attempted to rob the place, but got spooked when they saw someone inside. The teens immediately ran downstairs and headed out the building. The woman was taken to the hospital where she was listed in stable condition.

Pek has been charged with alleged rape, robbery, assault, burglary and grand larceny. Burrows has been charged with rape, robbery, assault, burglary and grand larceny. Asliev has been charged with attempted rape, assault and attempted burglary.
