BuzzBuzzHome yesterday put up new renderings of a 10-story luxury condo project planned at 165 Chrystie. Nexus Development picked up this development site next to New Beer Distributors last year for $4.5 million. The building is one of many projects by ODA, the architectural firm behind the cantilivering 100 Norfolk St.
According to the project page, the first two floors will be taken up by a triplex unit. Full-floor apartments will be created on floors 3-10. The “loft like spaces with floors in polished concrete and 10’ ceilings” is set for completion in 2017. Building permits, however, are awaiting approval.
Nexus Development, owned by Shaky Cohen, is behind several other Lower East Side projects. They include 263 Bowery and 173 Chrystie St., another ODA-designed condo tower.
